Why Choose Liguori Construction?

Liguori Construction » Why Choose Liguori Construction?
We can’t thank you enough for asking! Ligouri Construction has several significant advantages to justify your business:

We pay more attention to detail. As mentioned in the About Us page here, Carl Ligouri is a qualified mechanic (as well as nearing completion of an engineering degree). Aviation mechanics and engineers simply have to pay more attention to detail. It carries over into Ligouri Construction’s way of working on your home remodel project. Our “finish work” is smoother, the walls and joints are lined up better, our doors and hardware fit right… and everything just works.

We use only higher quality materials. A trip to the local home improvement store will show you that there are always cheaper and lower quality materials available. Guess who buys them? Not us… not in your home and not in ours. (Kind of makes you wonder what kind of materials other contractors are using) We typically use top shelf products like Dunn-Edwards paints, better grades of wood, higher strength fasteners. Liguori Construction will give you a list of the quality and grades of materials used on your project, just ask.

We don’t leave until the job is done right. Most construction companies leave as soon as possible to start another job. We know better because we’re not a “fly-by-night” company. Taking an extra little bit of time to make sure the job is done right makes the customer happy, it gives us pride in our work, and it saves time in the long run (we don’t have to come back and do something over, which would slow us down the next project).

We have higher credentials. As an Engineering Construction Contractor, Carl Ligouri and his staff will know how to engineer or design around problems that would stop other companies in their tracks (or worse if they try to “Mickey Mouse” their own solution). Your investment and your safety are simply better off in our hands.

We have a stable history. These days, so many contractors go in and out of business, then back in and out again. It’s an epidemic in the home improvement industry. Thanks to stable, mature leadership, and carefully controlled growth, Ligouri Construction has survived the housing market roller-coaster and stayed in business for twelve years. Some contractors have been in and out of business five times under five different names in that time.

We earned and maintain a truly good reputation. Call our customers… Call our suppliers… Call the State Contractor’s License Board… we encourage you to check us out. The remodeling and construction industry is overflowing with shady characters and “get rich quick then run” business models. Everyone has heard a story about filing a lawsuit over bad construction work. Guess what… nobody has ever sued Ligouri Construction over the quality of our construction work. The important question is why. 1) We do the job right the first time, to the very best of our ability. 2) If and when anything doesn’t go as planned, we go back in immediately and make sure the customer is happy.

We have more experience (and more types) of experience. Lots of contractors have “hundreds of projects” in their scrapbook. But Ligouri Construction has done all of the different types of projects - kitchens, plumbing, roofing, framing, windows, etc. Trust us, this really matters… Why? Because by knowing all facets of home construction, and in what order it comes together, we know exactly if-when-how-why one improvement will impact another part of the house. (Folks, this is how a smart homeowner prevents those “nightmare” home remodeling scenarios you hear about!)

Beware a Wolf in Cheap’s Clothing. Everyone wants to save money, especially these days. We get it… that’s why we operate a lean company and minimize the costs wherever possible. But the cheapest way is almost always the wrong way when it comes to your home and your investment.

SCAM ALERT: Here’s one of the scams and rip-offs that some cut-rate contractors try to do... They tell you that you can save money on a minor project (like a water heater, a patio cover, a deck) by not bothering to pay for a building permit. You’ll only save a few dollars, but they suggest it because they can now get away with a poor quality, sloppy job, using cheap materials that may not be safe.

But the worst part of the scam… They know you can’t hold them responsible for the bad work because you’ll get in trouble too. Permits are cheap and worth getting. A contractor can’t rip off the customer with a ‘quick and dirty’ job because there will be an inspection. The inspection (and the permit that goes with it) is there to protect you against unscrupulous contractors!

Like we said on the welcome page… credibility, experience, track record.
